250th Commemoration of New Hampshire’s Independence Day 2026

Hosted by Joe Sweeney with support from the New Hampshire Sons of the American Revolution in coordination with the Salem Historical Society. On January 5, 1776, the people of New Hampshire took a decisive step toward liberty. Nearly six months before the Declaration of Independence, New Hampshire became the first colony to formally establish its own government, severing ties with Great Britain and asserting the right of self rule.
